Efficient preparation and safe transport of externally directed medications
The preparation of medicines for care homes by external or in-house pharmacies places special demands on the transport aids required. The WIEGAND® CollectBox and the TransportBox have been specially developed for the transport of prepared medication in Wiegand distribution systems. Wiegand’s weekly systems can be transported safely and conveniently in custom-fit CollectBoxes or TransportBoxes. The boxes can be sealed to ensure that no unauthorised changes have been made to the medication.

WIEGAND® CollectBox
WIEGAND® CollectBox is the matching transport solution for the large MediDispensers 271/279 and 281/289 in combination with the 1291 transport tray. This transport solution provides space for the weekly medication of five to ten patients/residents, depending on the MediDispensers selected. The CollectBoxes can also be supplemented with Treston containers to carry, for example, spare medicines or ointments.
WIEGAND® TransportBox
WIEGAND® TransportBox is the matching transport solution for the Wiegand MediDispensers 41/49, 61/69, 341/349 and 141/149. It enables the MediDispenser to sit securely on the 491 or 991 weekly tray, allowing for secure transport and external preparation. The TransportBox is extremely light and easy to carry thanks to the large handles. The TransportBox holds a week’s worth of medication for 10 – 12 patients / residents.
Medication management for an entire week
Our weekly systems are designed to efficiently manage the medication process for long-term therapies in care and nursing homes. A week’s worth of medication for each patient/resident can be prepared centrally in the pharmacy or the ward.
Blister-packed medication
Blister packaging is a variant of external preparation. This involves the mechanical preparation of prescribed medication by a blister machine or device. Our comprehensive range of products also offers a variety of solutions and aids for this specific medication process.
