Climate-controlled medicine storage cabinet

When medicines are stored improperly, their constituents can undergo changes and pose a risk to the patient. For the majority of medicines, it is sufficient to store them in a dry place and at a maximum room temperature of +25°C. This can be achieved by means of room air conditioning, which can be integrated into the design and construction of new buildings. In existing buildings, this is sometimes not possible, or can only be achieved with complex structural measures.

Together with Koch Kälte AG, a specialist in refrigeration systems for hospitals and laboratories, we have developed the climate-controlled medicine storage cabinet. It is based on the practical WIEGAND double cabinet, and can be supplemented with a third cabinet element. The double or triple cabinet combination features a cooling unit and a special airflow system to cool the interior of the cabinet to the required temperature. When the doors and shutters are closed, the target temperature inside the cabinet is established and kept constant. Discover our sample cabinets here.
